Gear Rental Process
For help finding the perfect outdoor rental equipment for your next adventure, you can visit us at the ALI desk or contact us for personalized assistance.
ALI Desk
- Visit our experienced staff at the ALI desk to help you get properly geared up for your next adventure.
- The ALI desk is open Monday through Friday from noon to 6 p.m.

Gear Rental Policies
Reservations
- Reservations can be made up to two weeks in advance. Reservations must be made in person with full payment. Each person may rent equipment to outfit two people.
Pick-up and Return
- Equipment must be picked up and returned during ALI operation hours only.
- You must pick the equipment up from the ALI by 5:30 p.m. on the designated day and return it in the same condition by 5:30 p.m. on the return date.
Eligibility
- Eligibility is limited to OSU students, staff, faculty or affiliates with a current OSU ID card.
Cancellations and Refunds
- Cancellations must be made three (3) working days before the day of pick-up for a full refund. They can be made in person or by phone during regular business hours.
Additional Fees
- Dirty, damaged, lost equipment, repair, cleaning, or replacement costs will be assessed and charged to the renter. The ALI does not offer insurance on damaged equipment.
