Wellness Coaching

Wellness Coaching at Oregon State University is a free, supportive service that allows you to meet one-on-one with a Peer Wellness Coach for guided conversations about your well-being. 

Whether you're managing stress, building healthy routines, navigating life transitions, or working toward academic, personal, or professional goals, coaching helps you reflect, set intentions and take meaningful steps forward.

Together, you’ll explore your strengths, identify areas of focus and create a personalized plan for sustainable, positive change.

All OSU students are welcome to participate.

Why Schedule a Wellness Coaching Session?

Personalized Support

  • Wellness Coaching is a one-on-one conversation focused on your goals, values and strengths. You’ll work with a peer coach to identify what matters most to you and create a plan that fits your life.

Holistic & Supportive

  • Coaching can support a wide range of topics including stress management, time management, sleep, nutrition, physical activity, social connection and more.

Empowering & Nonjudgmental

  • Coaches use active listening and motivational interviewing techniques to help you reflect, explore options and take meaningful steps forward, progressing at your own pace.

Free & Confidential

  • Wellness Coaching is a free service available to all OSU students. Sessions are confidential and designed to provide a safe space for open and honest conversation.

Get Started With Wellness Coaching

Schedule Your First Appointment

In your first wellness coaching session, you’ll meet one-on-one with a peer coach to explore what matters most to you and begin building a personalized plan for your well-being. Together, you’ll:

  • Identify key areas of wellness you’d like to focus on
  • Review your character strengths profile
  • Set meaningful short- and long-term goals
  • Explore helpful resources and strategies
  • Define clear next steps to move forward

This session is designed to help you feel supported, empowered and ready to take action. Follow the steps below to get started with your first session.

Continuing Wellness Coaching 

Scheduling Follow-up Appointments

After your initial appointment, you’re welcome to schedule as many follow-up sessions as needed. In each follow-up, you and your coach will:

  • Reflect on your progress and celebrate successes
  • Identify and troubleshoot any barriers
  • Revisit your personal strengths and values
  • Explore helpful resources and strategies
  • Set new goals and outline next steps

Wellness Coaching is designed to provide you with tools and strategies that you can carry forward, allowing you to continue setting goals, making progress and advocating for your well-being long after your session ends.
