Wellness Coaching is a free, confidential service for all OSU students.
Our peer wellness coaches partner with you to create a personalized plan that supports any dimension of holistic well‑being—physical, occupational, intellectual, social, spiritual, environmental, and emotional.
Appointments are free and unlimited.
What Peer Wellness Coaches Do
Our coaches are trained to help you make progress on your goals by:
- Meeting you with empathy, acceptance and zero judgment
- Helping you explore your personal motivation for change
- Guiding you in setting realistic, achievable goals
- Supporting you in identifying and using your strengths
- Reframing obstacles as opportunities for growth
- Creating a supportive and encouraging environment for your success
About Peer Wellness Coaches
A peer wellness coach is not a replacement for licensed therapy, counseling, personal training, nutrition services or academic/financial advising.

Get Started With Wellness Coaching
Schedule Your First Appointment
In your first wellness coaching session, you’ll meet one-on-one with a peer coach to explore what matters most to you and begin building a personalized plan for your well-being. Together, you’ll:
- Identify key areas of wellness you’d like to focus on
- Review your character strengths profile
- Set meaningful short- and long-term goals
- Explore helpful resources and strategies
- Define clear next steps to move forward
This session is designed to help you feel supported, empowered and ready to take action. Follow the steps below to get started with your first session.
Continuing Wellness Coaching
Scheduling Follow-up Appointments
After your initial appointment, you’re welcome to schedule as many follow-up sessions as needed. In each follow-up, you and your coach will:
- Reflect on your progress and celebrate successes
- Identify and troubleshoot any barriers
- Revisit your personal strengths and values
- Explore helpful resources and strategies
- Set new goals and outline next steps
Wellness Coaching is designed to provide you with tools and strategies that you can carry forward, allowing you to continue setting goals, making progress and advocating for your well-being long after your session ends.
