Facility Access Show OSU or government-issued, photo identification at entry desk.  Must currently be enrolled and paying fees at Corvallis Campus or have a current Rec Sports membership.
Dress Code Cover your torso and wear closed-toed shoes.  Crop-tops and tank-tops allowed. No bare chests or sport bras, low-cut arm holes or Vibram shoes.  Swimwear must allow full range of motion and be without fray, i.e. No cut-offs or loose-fitting t-shirts.
Photo Code Personal photos and video not allowed in locker rooms, bathrooms or pool area. Permitted in other areas with permission of all subjects, all of whom must be fully clothed (no additional subjects captured in the background).  Photos and video for any purpose other than personal use require prior approval from Rec Sports media staff.
Youth Access Guidelines Youth are defined in three age groups (under 7 years, 8-15 years, and at least 16 years) with progressively greater program access for each.  Youth access hours are defined for the two youngest groups, and require adult supervision. The youngest group is limited to family swim and family climb programs with one adult supervisor per two  youth, within arm's reach. Additional restrictions and guidelines for use of locker rooms, shower facilities and some programs.
Indoor Climbing Participants must have a current waiver on file for bouldering, top-rope climbing, and lead climbing in either of the indoor climbing facilities.  Belay skills checks are required annually.
Lockers Free locks & lockers available for check out during your visit.  Overnight storage requires locker rental.  Personal locks prohibited on rental lockers, and removed at owner's expense. Items left in lockers beyond rental expiration date are cleared and held no longer than 30 days before disposal.  Reclamation subject to storage fee.
Outdoor Equipment Rental Prepaid, in-person reservations, up to two weeks in advance. Pick-up and return only during ALI operation hours.  Cancel up to three business days prior to reservation for full refund. Fees may be assessed for excessively dirty, damaged or lost equipment.
Refunds Full refunds are allowable within the business day of purchase.  After the day of purchase, a refund processing fee will be charged. Refund eligibility and value is determined by purchase type and timing, detailed in Refund & Cancellation Policy


Refund & Cancellation Policy

It is the philosophy of the Department of Recreational Sports to be responsible in its commitments to customers and to anticipate equal treatment in return. When a customer initiates action with registration or reservation, the department commits to preparation and delivery of facilities, activities, events, products, and/or services.

Refund Conditions Explanation

Membership & Access

Except in pre-defined, special circumstances (see below), membership and access purchases are non-refundable. Note: When the customer opts for payroll deduction, no refund will be considered until total payments deducted exceed the value of benefits already realized.

Activities, Classes & Services

In order to be eligible for a refund you must cancel or reschedule the activity with Rec Services during their business hours at least 24 hours prior to the beginning of the FIRST class, activity, or service being provided.

Adventure Trips

Must be cancelled with the Adventure Leadership Institute during their business hours at least 24 hours prior to the beginning of the Pre-trip meeting.

No refunds shall be granted for purchases of personal items such as whistles, First Aid kits, etc.

Special Circumstances

Special circumstances, as follow, may justify an exception to the general rule of refund.
•  Medical issues which render the person unable to participate
•  Leaving the university
•  Emergency situations for the participant or family members involving sickness, broken bones, car accident, hospitalization, etc.
A note signed by the area coordinator asking for refund, naming the affected person, and explaining the specific circumstance.




Contracts that are altered by the user after signature shall be charged a rescheduling fee of 10% of the total contract value, as delineated in the text of the contract.

Contracts that are cancelled by the user within seven calendar days of service delivery shall be charged a cancellation fee of 25% of the total contract value, as delineated in the text of the contract.

Additional Conditions

Within the same business day, if a customer changes his/her mind about purchasing a membership, an activity, a contract, or a service and he/she does not realize the benefit within that day, a full refund will be awarded without penalty or processing fee.
