Governing Rules

The following rules are Oregon State University Intramurals rules for Smash Bros. Ultimate.

Eligibility

All participants must be either students registered at Oregon State University or Faculty/Staff/Affiliate with a Recreational Sports Membership. For more information on eligibility, consult the Intramurals Handbook.

Pregame

  • Each game must be played at the scheduled time on IMLeagues.
  • If managers don’t play, the result will be a double forfeit.
  • Participants may reschedule if needed following standard intramural rescheduling procedures.

Conduct

The Intramurals program promotes positive sportsmanship at all contests and activities. Unsportsmanlike conduct includes actions which are unbecoming to an ethical, fair, and honorable individual. It consists of acts of deceit, disrespect, or vulgarity and includes taunting.

Equipment

Gaming devices, controllers, and game will be provided by each player that registers.

Team Composition

Each team will consist of one (1) person only.

Game Rules

Best-of-five (5) game series.

Each Game

  • Stocks: 3
  • Time: 7 minutes
  • Items: Off
  • Pauses: Off
  • Miis: Allowed with any move set

Characters

All characters are legal.

Stage

Approved stages:

  • All Battlefield and Ω forms of stages
  • Battlefield
  • Small Battlefield
  • Final Destination
  • Pokémon Stadium 2
  • Smashville
  • Kalos Pokémon League
  • Town and City
  • Hallow Bastion

Order of stages being picked

  • Home team picks first.
  • Following stages are picked by the losing player of the previous game.

Streaming

The Intramurals program prohibits streaming of any intramural games.

End of Game

At the end of each game, each player must send a picture of the final score to the league coordinators email.
