Governing Rules
The following rules are Oregon State University Intramurals rules for FIFA 2024.
Eligibility
All participants must be either students registered at Oregon State University or Faculty/Staff/Affiliate with a Recreational Sports Membership. For more information on eligibility, consult the Intramurals Handbook.
Pregame
- Each game must be played within the week. The time listed on IMLeagues is the last day the game can be played.
- If managers do not play, the result will be a double forfeit.
- Each manager must contact the other manager to agree on a game time.
- Once agreed, each manager must email the sport coordinator with the time and day they are going to play.
Equipment
Gaming devices, controllers, and game will be provided by each player who registers.
Team Composition
Each team will consist of one (1) person only.
Game Rules
Best-of-three (3) game series.
Game Settings
- Game mode: Kick Off
- Difficulty: World Class
- Half length: 6 minutes
- Injuries: On
- Offside: On
- Bookings: On
- Handballs: Off
- Match conditions: Clear & Sunny
- Game speed: Normal
- Camera: Tele Broadcast
If both opponents agree on an alternative camera angle, that is permitted.
Overtime
- Pool play: Ties stand.
- Bracket play: “Classic Mode” will be used, followed by Kicks From The Mark.
Team Selection
- A coin flip or rock, paper, scissors will determine home and away.
- The home team must select their team first.
- Players may use the same team (adjust jerseys accordingly).
- Players must select a club team (no national, Classic XI, all-star, or legend teams).
- Players must select the 85% overall version of each team.
Rosters
- Players must use the latest up-to-date rosters.
- If the game will not update rosters, players must play with the most updated roster available.
Glitches
No player may intentionally use any glitches to gain an advantage.
Conceding
- Players may concede a game at any time and the current score will stand.
- The player who concedes the game will be given the loss.
No Collusion
Competitors cannot intentionally lose a match for any reason.
No Coaching
No person may assist a player with any decisions during a game.
No Gambling
Players may not bet on the outcome of games.
Pauses
- Each player may pause the game up to three (3) times.
- Players may only pause the game when the ball is out of play or they have clear possession.
- If a player pauses the game, they must make a tactical change to their team.
Streaming
The Intramurals program prohibits streaming of any intramural games.
End of Game
At the end of the game, the winning team will submit all game scores through the link provided.
Conduct
The Intramurals program promotes positive sportsmanship at all contests and activities. Unsportsmanlike conduct includes actions which are unbecoming to an ethical, fair, and honorable individual. It consists of acts of deceit, disrespect, or vulgarity and includes taunting.
