At Recreational Sports, we believe each person has worth and dignity. Everyone should have an opportunity to participate and create change within Recreational Sports.  Here are some programs and events that provide users and employees a chance to be part of the change:

  • Energy Civil War- Annual event that  promotes renewable energy and physical activity for OSU students who want to team build within their organizations, make OSU a more sustainable campus, exercise, and beat U of O!
  • Reusable water bottle filling stations throughout facility to reduce plastic bottle usage. 223,028 plastic water bottles and counting have been kept out of landfills through your efforts.
  • 22 ReRev™ Elliptical Exercise Machines installed in Dixon Recreation Center to generate electricity and educate users about energy use. (For further information, check out the ReRev Website)
  • Recreational Sports actively compost where we can, especially at Dixon Café! Compost bins are found in break rooms so that all employees can participate.
  • Leave No Trace is a vital part of education at Adventure Leadership Institute. For more information or to get involved, check out more information on the Adventure Leadership Institute here
