The Recreational Sports Advisory Board is a body of committed students and faculty staff from OSU that meets monthly and gives advice and recommendations to the governing board or management. These positions serve as advocates for the Department of Recreational Sports; its budget, programs and services.

Members

The Recreational Sports Advisory Board shall have eleven (11) student members:
•    Two (2) at-large undergraduate students shall be selected and appointed through the established Advisory Board application process.
•    Two (2) at-large graduate students shall be selected and appointed through the established Advisory Board application process.
•    The Director of Residential Education, University Housing and Dining shall recommend one (1) undergraduate student residing in an OSU residence hall for appointment.
•    The Director of Diversity and Cultural Engagement shall recommend one (1) undergraduate student for appointment.
•    The Director of International Student Advising and Services shall recommend one (1) undergraduate student for appointment.
•    The Director of the Center for Fraternity and Sorority Life shall recommend one (1) undergraduate student for appointment.
•    The Director of Disability Services shall recommend one (1) undergraduate student for appointment.
•    The Director of Recreational Sports shall recommend one (1) undergraduate or graduate student employee of Recreational Sports for appointment.
•    Vice-President of ASOSU or designee.

Eligibility

•    All currently enrolled OSU students paying incidental fees are eligible for nomination and appointment to Advisory Board.
•    Individual appointments to the board shall be made without regard to age, color, disability, gender identity or expression, marital status, national origin, race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, veteran's status or any other extraneous consideration. The overall composition of the Advisory Board is intended to uphold the mission and vision of OSU in regards to diversity and inclusion.

Candidate Filing

•    All applications must be completed and filed to the Recreation Services Desk by 5pm on Friday March 18, 2016

Selection Process

•    A committee of three (3) non-returning student Advisory Board Members and one advisor will review applications and conduct interviews.
